Semi truck & big truck keys

A truck that can't move is a truck that isn't earning, so the point of this page is simple: you don't bring the truck to us. We bring the equipment to the truck. On semi trucks and big trucks we do three things.

Lockouts. The keys are sitting on the seat, the door shut behind you, or the only key is gone and the cab is locked. We open the cab and get you back in.

All keys lost. No key, no spare, nothing to copy from. We make a new key for the truck from scratch, the same way we do it for cars on our lost car keys jobs — at the vehicle, without it going anywhere.

Extra keys. One key for a working truck is a bad bet. We cut spares so the second driver, the dispatcher, or the yard has one — and so the next lost key is an inconvenience instead of a lockout.

The trucks we see most are Freightliner, Hino and Peterbilt, and those are the ones we'll say yes to on the phone without a second question. Big trucks share more lock and key hardware across makes than cars do, so if you're driving something else, call with the make and model. If it's a truck we can't do, we'll tell you straight away rather than waste your afternoon.

We're mobile across London and Southwestern Ontario — St. Thomas, Woodstock, Strathroy, Ingersoll and out toward Sarnia and Chatham. A truck parked at a customer's dock, in the yard, at a truck stop on the 401, or on the shoulder is where the job gets done. Tell us exactly where it is when you call; for a big truck that's the first thing we need.

One honest limit: we're open Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and we're closed Sundays. We're not a 24-hour service. If the truck is down overnight, call first thing and we'll tell you when we can be there.

The make, model and year. Freightliner Cascadia, Hino 268, Peterbilt 579 — whatever it is, that's what decides the job.
Where the truck is. Yard, dock, truck stop, roadside — and whether we can get a car next to it.
Which of the three it is. Locked out, every key gone, or a spare wanted. Each is a different job and a different price.
