Lost car keys

The assumption is a tow truck, a dealership appointment, and a bill that ruins the week. That's the expensive path, and it's usually avoidable.

With no key to copy, the shape has to be worked out from the vehicle itself, and a brand-new key has to be introduced to the car's immobiliser before the engine will turn over. Both of those can be done at the roadside by someone with the right equipment and the right access. We're a NASTF-Registered Vehicle Security Professional, which is the automaker-backed registry that lets qualified locksmiths pull key codes and immobiliser data straight from the manufacturer, the same way a dealership does.

So the car stays where it is, and you keep the tow bill.

The year, make and model. This is what decides the price, because it decides which key your car takes.
Where the car is. We come to you, so we need to know whether that's a driveway in London, an underground garage, or a parking lot in St. Thomas.
Whether anything still works. A fob that unlocks the doors but won't start the engine is a different job from nothing at all.
