Before we quote
We verify the car before we price the job.
Coverage varies by model, year, EIS/EZS part number and immobilizer generation. VIN and module verification may be required before service.
Service is in person only — we do not offer mail-in service. Come to the shop at 737 Hamilton Rd Unit 2, London, or we'll come to the car.
Keys carry a 3-month warranty. Module repairs carry a 6-month warranty.
If the steering wheel is locked solid or the key won't turn at all, that's usually a module rather than the key — see Mercedes EIS/EZS and ESL/ELV repair, or ignition repair for worn mechanical cylinders. If every key is gone, the lost car keys page explains how that job runs, and the price list has the rest of the numbers.
FAQ
Mercedes key questions, answered straight.
My Mercedes key won't turn. Is it the key or the car?
Often it's neither exactly — on these cars the electronic ignition switch (EIS/EZS) is a common cause, and the electronic steering lock is another. You don't need to know what's wrong with your Mercedes. That's our job. Tell us the model and year — we'll take care of the rest.
Can you make a Mercedes key if I've lost all of them?
Yes, on supported generations — roughly 2003 to 2015. Outside that range, tell us the model and year and we'll confirm honestly whether it's a job we can do before you count on it.
What does a replacement Mercedes key cost?
Mercedes sits in the European tier: transponder keys start at $125 and smart or proximity keys at $145, with all keys lost from $145. Those are starting prices, not flat rates, and we match written estimates.
Can I mail my key or module to you?
No. Service is in person only — we do not offer mail-in service. Come to the shop at 737 Hamilton Rd Unit 2, London, or we come to the car.
Which Mercedes models do you see most often?
C-Class (W204, approx. 2008–2014), E-Class (W207 and W212, approx. 2010–2015), B-Class (W246), GLK (X204), CLS (W218) and A-Class (W176), up to about 2015. Other Mercedes-Benz models may be supported depending on the vehicle and module — coverage varies by model, year, EIS/EZS part number and immobilizer generation, so we verify the car before pricing the job.
