For Ford drivers
A truck that can't move is a day that doesn't happen.
A fair share of the Fords we're called out to are working vehicles, and the cost of one being stuck isn't the key — it's the day. That's the case for coming to the vehicle rather than making the vehicle come to us, and it's most of our Ford work: replacement keys, spares, remote flip keys, and all-keys-lost jobs where nothing is left to copy.
We also see plenty of much older Fords, where the issue is a worn ignition rather than a lost key. If your key only turns when you hold it a certain way, start with ignition repair instead.
What it costs
Ford key prices start where the key type starts.
Ford spans a wide range — a plain cut key on an older truck and a proximity fob on a recent model are different jobs at different prices. The year and model settle it.
The full list — laser cut keys from $45, transponder keys from $75, remote head keys from $95, smart and proximity keys from $145, and all keys lost from $145 — is on the price list, along with what moves the final number. Every figure there is a starting price, not a flat rate, and we match written estimates.
Fords we've worked on
Seventy-odd years apart, same job.
Two of the vehicles in our past-jobs gallery are Fords at opposite ends of the range: a 1948 Ford pickup we cut a spare key for, and a Ford Maverick that needed an OEM remote flip key. Both are in the gallery with the rest.
FAQ
Ford key questions, answered straight.
Can you cut and program a Ford key at my job site?
Yes. We're mobile across London and Southwestern Ontario and work at the vehicle, which for a lot of our Ford customers means a yard or a site rather than a driveway. The truck doesn't need to leave.
How much is a replacement Ford key or remote?
It depends which one your Ford takes. A laser cut key starts at $45, a transponder key at $75, and a remote head or flip key at $95. A smart or proximity fob starts at $145. Those are starting prices, not flat rates.
Do you work on older Fords as well as new ones?
Yes, and the old ones are often the more interesting job. One of the vehicles in our gallery is a 1948 Ford pickup we cut a spare for. At the other end, we've done OEM remote flip keys on current Mavericks.
Can you make a Ford key if I've lost all of them?
Yes. All keys lost starts at $145 and varies by vehicle. We cut and program the new key where the truck or car is parked — driveway, yard or job site — so it doesn't need towing anywhere.
Is there a warranty on a Ford key?
Yes. Keys carry a 3-month warranty.
